Erwin Stein stipulated in his will that his generously equipped residential house in Annerod was to be transferred to the University of Giessen. It is to be used as a guest house for scientists from Germany and abroad who are staying in Giessen for research purposes. The guest house has four apartments; it contains the founder's library with important works of jurisprudence, philosophy and literature of the arts
The house is thankfully managed by Frauke Ueck, the former managing director of the foundation, together with the university.
