The Foundation

It fulfills the purpose of the foundation as defined by the statutes by performing the following tasks:

• Awarding the Erwin-Stein-Prize for an outstanding scientific work which deals with a philosophical, political, religious, literary or scientific topic;

• Granting of scholarships to young qualified and eligible Jewish scientists, writers or artists living in Germany
• Granting scholarships to young scientists whose development to date makes special support appear desirable;
• other grants for the promotion of scientific research, education, adult education and vocational training, tolerance in all areas of culture and international understanding.
